HOUSE NUMBERS LIKE A PRO

Let us make installing modern house numbers easy.

1. SECURE DRILLING TEMPLATE

The vertical and horizontal lines on the drilling template are used as reference lines. Use a tape measure to center the template on the mounting surface (if you would like it centered). Align the template using a level against either the horizontal or vertical line. Tape the template securely onto the mounting surface.

PRO TIP: Rough or uneven surfaces may require the template to be secured to a rigid base such as cardboard, prior to taping it onto the mounting surface. This ensures the paper doesn't flex while marking the holes.

2. DRILL HOLES

Use a 3/16" drill bit to drill holes according to the template. Masonry and rock will require a masonry drill bit and hammer drill. Remove the template and blow debris out of the mounting holes.

PRO TIP: As an alternate to drilling through the template, a small nail or tack can be used to poke holes through the template at the crosshairs on the center of the stud holes. A fine tip marker can then be used to mark the mounting surface through these holes. The template can then be removed and the holes drilled on the marks.

3. TEST FIT HOUSE NUMBERS

Thread the mounting studs into the back of the numbers. Gently push the numbers with studs installed into the holes on the mounting surface. This dry test fit is to ensure the studs align correctly with the holes in the mounting surface. Adjust holes if required so that the numbers with studs can be inserted easily into the holes.

4. APPLY ADHESIVE

If you'd like your house numbers to be floating, slide the spacers over the studs. Apply a 2 part epoxy adhesive to the end of the studs and/or into the holes drilled in the mounting surface.

PRO TIP: We recommend using a clear exterior grade 2 part epoxy adhesive. These epoxies can be found at most hardware stores in the glue section. Although other adhesives can be used, a 2 part epoxy will guarantee you the strongest hold. If you'd like your house numbers to be more easily removeable, silicone is an option.

5. INSTALL HOUSE NUMBERS

Push the house numbers with studs installed (and spacers if desired) into the holes on the mounting surface. If necessary, temporarily secure the address numbers to the mounting surface with tape until the epoxy sets. Remove the tape as soon as the epoxy has cured.

PRO TIP: If required a rubber mallet can be used to gently tap the numbers to help the studs slide into the holes. Use care to not scratch or damage the finish on the house numbers.

6. ENJOY

Stand back. Admire your house number install.
